Getting a refresher course on the whole scenario by watching the pre-story on Advent Children is the fastest way to catch up on the detail. The days of button mashing pleasure will be short-lived I have a feeling: 2 hours into the story line and already having to make big decisions on materia, weapon enhancements, and overall equipment. Square has outdone itself in remaking the timeless saga into another classic.
